Two playoff matchups this week, two early exits for me; thanks Antonio Brown for dropping 11 catches for 213 yards. I gotta look on the bright side; I get to unleash AB this week in the semis of my dynasty league. That pretty much sums up fantasy, you root for a player to crush it, yet you get so mad when that player you are rooting for inflicts lasting damage on your soul when he is not on your squad. Enough of my soap opera, let’s look ahead to Thursday night’s game in Indianapolis.
As week 15 kicks off on Thursday night with a tilt between two teams that have zero hopes in making the playoffs. First we can take a look at the WRs from the Broncos. Since the return of Trevor Siemian, guys like Thomas and Sanders have become fantasy relevant again. Both WRs should be in lineups across the board as the draw a great matchup against a suspect Colts secondary. The Denver backfield continues to be one that shares the workload amongst their RBs. CJ Anderson is the typical 1A RB and Booker is 1B, if I had to choose this week I would pick Anderson, as he draws a solid matchup. He can be locked into line ups as a RB2 with upside on the mere fact there should be plenty of red zone opportunities in this game.
On the other side of the field, Forrest Gump said it best “You never know what you’re gonna get” from the Indy offense. The team that has been so up and down this season, a player that stands out to me is TY Hilton. In a spot where there is going to be plenty of opportunities to catch 2 or 3 long shots down the field, I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes for 6 catches for 90 yards and possibly a score. Honorable mentions go to the ageless Frank Gore, who on volume alone should put up decent numbers and Jack Doyle, who should be able to produce mid-range TE-1 value this week.
Look out for Joe’s Week 15 Rankings and good luck in the semis for those of you who advanced or had a first round bye. I will be posting another article later this week on some Start/Sit ems and sleepers who can get you into the championship.
