RB – Fantasy Top 50

Welcome to the second installment of our initial 2018 Fantasy Player Rankings. The running back position is perhaps the most important position in your drafts.

First thing’s first, it’s always key to know your league’s rules. Standard fantasy leagues require 2 starting running backs each week; if this is the case for you, getting running backs and getting them early is essential. There’s just simply not enough depth to go around twice for a 12-team league. If you’re in leagues, like I am, that only require 1 starting running back and allows for 2 flex starters, then it’s ok if you wait until late in the 2nd round or early in the 3rd round to take your first back.

As I said before, the running back position is not nearly as deep as the wide receiver position. It’s certainly attractive to grab the superstar receivers in the 1st and 2nd rounds, but then you may be left with a suspended Mark Ingram and Buck Allen as your backs and that’s a liability to your team. If I’m in a 2-RB league, I’m taking RBs in 2 of the first 4 rounds, preferably one in the first 2 rounds. Believe me, there are plenty of useful receivers to go around; but we’ll get into that tomorrow!

Here’s the top-50 RBs heading into 2018:

Fantasy fanatic. I specialize in football and baseball, but will dabble in basketball as well. I play DFS regularly but I am by no means an expert. I win just enough to keep playing without having to deposit more money. I love talking about everything fantasy so I created this site in the hopes of helping others dominate their own fantasy leagues!
